Biography
Margaret Michele Arney , born June 17, 1969, is a Democratic politician representing Wisconsin's 18th Assembly District in the Wisconsin State Assembly since 2025. She serves communities in eastern Wauwatosa and western Milwaukee neighborhoods. Arney is also a member of the Wauwatosa City Council since 2022, becoming the city's first African American city councilmember. Notable achievements include winning her Assembly seat in 2024 after a landslide city council victory in 2022 and her civic leadership as a founding member of Tosa Together in 2016 and president of the Wauwatosa Neighborhood Association Council.
