Biography
Marcus B. Simon is a Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing District 13 . Born July 1, 1970, in Austin, Texas, he is a lifelong Fairfax County resident, Jewish, married to Rachel Anne Goldstein, with two children, Emily and Zachary. A practicing attorney and U.S. Army veteran , he provided legal support post-9/11 at Ft. McNair. Notable achievements include pioneering Virginia legislation banning 3D-printed guns and ghost guns, advancing secure firearm storage laws for homes with minors, and sponsoring a gun violence prevention license plate. He has served as Minority Caucus Secretary , Chair of the Public Safety Committee and Civil Subcommittee, and Member of the Code Commission.
