Marcus Paramore is a Republican member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 89, which includes Dale County and Pike County. He was elected on November 8, 2022, running uncontested after securing the Republican nomination. Prior to this, he served 10 years on the Troy City Council, including six years as council president, where he focused on economic development, job growth, retail expansion, and improving quality of life. His priorities include promoting economic development, creating quality jobs to reduce "brain drain" in southeast Alabama, and providing opportunities for local residents, especially younger generations.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Earned a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in sport and fitness management from Troy University. He later served as director of government relations at Troy University.
