Biography
Marcus Anthony Bryant is a Democratic member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 96 . He assumed office on January 13, 2020, after winning election in November 2019, with his current term eligible through 2028. An attorney specializing in injury law, he owns the Law Office of Marcus A. Bryant and previously served as a judicial clerk for the U.S. District Court, Western District of Louisiana . A father of three and parishioner at Notre Catholic Church in St. Martinville, he holds leadership roles including Chair of Kutts for Kids , former District Marshal for Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and Vice Chair of the Democratic Caucus. Notable committee assignments include Agriculture, Forestry, Aquaculture, and Rural Development; Natural Resources and Environment; Ways and Means; Atchafalaya Basin Program Oversight; and Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay. He also serves on the Acadiana Delegation, Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus, and Louisiana Rural Caucus.
