Marcus Brown represents Connecticut House District 127, covering the North End and parts of the Brooklawn neighborhood in Bridgeport. A lifelong Bridgeport resident, he was first elected in November 2022, assumed office on January 4, 2023, won re-election unopposed in November 2024, and began his second term on January 8, 2025. He currently serves as Assistant Majority Leader, Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee, and member of the Appropriations and Judiciary Committees. Notable achievements include supporting legislation to eliminate the state car tax, establish a Child Tax Credit, and secure millions in funding for Bridgeport school rebuilding; on the Bridgeport City Council , he served as President Pro-Tempore, Ordinance Committee Co-Chair, led senior tax relief expansion, investigated predatory foreclosure practices, and addressed ATV safety issues. He is also Executive Director of the Bridgeport Pride Center, opened in 2024, and previously worked as a workforce development coordinator with Avangrid Renewables.

• Education: Graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport; associate degree in General Studies from Housatonic Community College; bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
