Senator Marc Snyder is a Democrat representing Senate District 12 in Colorado, which includes El Paso and Teller counties. A long-term resident of Manitou Springs since 1994, he is an attorney specializing in wills, trusts, and estates law, with a focus on families of individuals with disabilities. Notable achievements include his leadership on wildfire preparedness and mitigation during six years in the Colorado House, service as Chair of the House Finance Committee, and involvement in over a dozen county and regional boards addressing transportation, health, economic development, sustainability, restorative justice, and military care. He previously served 12 years on the Manitou Springs City Council, including six as mayor, navigating fires, floods, and recession challenges.
