M.J. Shannon , a Democrat, serves as the state representative for Connecticut's 117th Assembly District, which includes parts of Milford, Orange, and West Haven. Born on June 29, 2000, in Milford, Connecticut, where he was raised, Shannon assumed office on January 8, 2025, after winning the general election on November 5, 2024.
