Biography
Lydia V. Crafts is a Democratic State Representative for House District 46 in Maine, representing the towns of Bristol, Damariscotta, Monhegan, and Newcastle in Lincoln County. A social worker from Newcastle, she grew up in Belfast, Maine, where her parents' low-wage jobs instilled values of hard work, resilience, and community commitment. She has served three terms in the Maine House , assuming office on December 2, 2020, and has announced she will not seek re-election in 2026. Notable achievements include chairing the Transportation and Elections Committees, membership on the Maine Recovery Council and Maine Climate Council, and leadership roles such as Chair of the Sheepscott Community Church Board and Behavior Program Director at Bristol Consolidated School.
