Luke A. Rankin, Sr. is a Republican state senator representing District 33 in the South Carolina State Senate, serving since 1992. Born on April 9, 1962, in Horry County, he resides in Myrtle Beach and is an attorney at Rankin & Rankin. He is married to Lindsey , with two children: Luke Jr. and Hollings. A member of Ocean View Baptist Church and the Sertoma Club, he previously chaired the Senate Ethics Committee and currently serves as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, with additional roles on the Banking and Insurance, Education, Ethics, and Transportation Committees.
