Lucy Dathan is the state representative for Connecticut's 142nd District, covering parts of New Canaan and Norwalk. She assumed office in 2019, won re-election in 2024, and has held leadership roles including House Chair of the Government Oversight Committee , Vice Chair of the Appropriations and Insurance & Real Estate Committees, and member of the Human Services Committee.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, she attended an all-girls school through high school, later moving to New Canaan, Connecticut, in 2015 with her husband and three children. Dathan has nearly 30 years of finance experience, starting as an auditor and Certified Public Accountant at a Big 4 firm in San Jose, California, focusing on venture capital and tech startups. Her career included roles in Poland's financial sector, over 10 years in London in investment banking and as CFO for venture-backed firms, work at the London Stock Exchange, and part-time CFO positions for U.S. technology companies since returning over 15 years ago.
