Lucas Cayler is a Republican state representative for Idaho House District 11B, serving his first term after winning the 2024 primary and general elections. Born in Nampa and raised near Parma, Idaho, he is a Navy veteran who enlisted in 1999 after home-education through K-12. As a civilian, he worked as a contractor with BAE Systems in Hawaii and, since 2012, has held various roles at Cobalt Truck Equipment in Nampa for over a decade. Cayler is described as a far-right conservative activist supported by the Idaho Freedom Foundation network, including Stop Idaho RINOs and Think Liberty Idaho PAC; he assisted Ammon Bundy’s People’s Rights Network during COVID lockdowns. He has been divorced twice and has no children. He is running for re-election in 2026.
