Lou Juris

Lou Juris is a Democratic state representative from Nashua, New Hampshire, representing Hillsborough District 7. He is a graduate of Northeastern University and brings significant professional experience in infrastructure and engineering to his legislative role. Lou lives in Nashua with his two college-age daughters and has no family members currently working in politics or government.
Education and Professional Background
Juris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. Before transitioning to public service, he had a 24-year career with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in Boston, where he worked as a Communications Engineer. During his tenure at the MBTA, he maintained and improved aging communications and electronics infrastructure, specializing in fiber optics networks, radio systems, fare collection systems, and security systems. He also worked on physical infrastructure projects in tunnel and subterranean environments while coordinating with subway train traffic. In 2016, he took an early reduced pension and has since worked as a landlord and semi-retired parent before his election to the state legislature.
Political Experience and Priorities
Juris was elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives, where his legislative priorities focus on public schools, clean energy, housing, and commuter rail to Nashua. His campaign platform emphasizes properly funded municipalities and infrastructure, health choices, and strong public schools. As of March 2026, he has actively sponsored and introduced legislation in the state house.
