Biography
Lori Denise Wilson is a Democrat representing California's 11th Assembly District, which includes all of Solano County and portions of Contra Costa and Sacramento Counties, such as the cities of Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Oakley, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville, and Vallejo.
A native Californian raised in Fresno's west side, she moved to Suisun City in 2004 with her husband, Chavares Wilson , after his service at Travis Air Force Base. They have two sons, Tyler and Kiren, and a daughter-in-law, Brittney.
Wilson is the first Black woman elected mayor of Suisun City and the first Black woman in California history to chair the Assembly Transportation Committee . She also serves as assistant majority whip, chair of the California Legislative Black Caucus, and holds positions on committees including Transportation and Emergency Preparedness, Local Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, Ports and Goods Movement, and Streamlining Services for Victims of Interpersonal Violence.
Notable achievements include passing 11 bills in her first year and a half, securing millions in state funding for housing, electric vehicle infrastructure, flood resiliency, transportation, and public safety; authoring AB957 on gender affirmation in child custody; and leading COVID-19 testing efforts as Suisun mayor.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy from California State University, Sacramento .
