Biography
Lori Berman is a Democrat representing Florida Senate District 26, which covers parts of Palm Beach County. Born June 27 in New York City, she moved to Florida in 1958 and is Jewish. Elected to the Senate in a special election on April 10, 2018, and reelected since, her term ends in 2026. She previously served four terms in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018. Notable achievements include leading efforts to expand Medicaid for low-income Floridians, promoting workforce development, clean energy initiatives, and receiving awards like the Florida Dental Association Legislative Service Award and multiple Champion of Florida's Middle Class honors .
