Biography
Loren Selig
Loren Selig is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives representing House District 10 in Strafford County. He resides in Durham, New Hampshire with his spouse and two children.
Education
Selig holds multiple advanced degrees:
- Bachelor of Arts from Clark University
- Master of Arts in Teaching from The Johns Hopkins University
- Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from UMBC-Baltimore County
Political Experience
Selig has served as a State Representative in the NH House of Representatives since 2022. Prior to his legislative career, he worked as a real estate agent and educator. His background in education includes experience as a teacher and as an instructor for graduate students pursuing careers in teaching.
Beyond his current legislative role, Selig has served as a board member of Temple Israel of Portsmouth and sits on the Advisory Board for the Elephant in the Room Series at The New Hampshire Theatre Project.
As a state representative, his stated policy priorities include defending voting rights, supporting public education, honoring personal body autonomy, advocating for smart gun control measures, and improving housing accessibility.
