Biography

Lisa Krasner is a Republican member of the Nevada State Senate, representing District 16, which includes Storey County, Carson City, and parts of Washoe County. She was first elected to the Senate in November 2022 after serving in the Nevada State Assembly for District 26 from 2017 to 2022, including three regular sessions and three special sessions. Notable achievements include passing AB145 in 2017 to extend the statute of limitations for child victims of sexual abuse, and six bills in 2021 addressing issues like support for disabled veterans, human trafficking victims, children, affordable housing, job creation, and education on the Holocaust and genocides. She holds leadership roles such as Co-Minority Whip in the Senate and previously served as Republican Assistant Whip and Minority Chair for Corrections, Parole, and Probation in the Assembly.
