Biography
Lisa Campbell
Lisa Campbell is an American politician from the Georgia Democratic Party who serves as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives representing District 35. Her district encompasses the cities of Kennesaw and Acworth. She was elected in November 2022, becoming the first woman to represent District 35.
Born on July 29, 1968, in El Paso, Texas, Campbell was raised in Marietta, Georgia. After graduating from Lassiter High School, she lived in Memphis, Nashville, and Detroit before returning to Georgia in 2000. She currently resides in Kennesaw.
Education
Campbell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia in 1990 with a major in English.
Political Experience
Before entering politics, Campbell built a 30-year career as an organizational consultant, specializing in strategic planning, branding, technology, public relations, and community development. She founded BRANDfit Consulting and worked with major global companies including Delta Air Lines, Coca-Cola, The Home Depot, and General Motors. She also held leadership roles in marketing and technology for international firms including MRY/Publicis, BBDO, and Carlson.
Campbell is deeply involved in her community, serving as a board member for Hope Springs Housing and supporting numerous organizations including The Carter Center, ACLU, Georgia Conservancy, and Planned Parenthood. In the legislature, she focuses on policies promoting education, healthcare, the environment, and equal rights.
Beyond her political work, Campbell co-hosts the "Politics and Poetry" podcast and enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, and hiking.
