Biography

Lindsey E. Tichenor is a Republican state senator representing Kentucky's 6th Senate District, which includes Oldham County, Trimble County, and parts of Jefferson County. A real estate agent from Smithfield in Oldham County, she was first elected in 2022, defeating the Republican primary opponent with 54% of the vote and winning the general election with 94.5%. She made history as the first woman from Oldham County elected to the Kentucky Senate, and has announced her intention to run for re-election in 2026. Tichenor is a mother of four and has been married for 27 years; she is Christian and has served as a missionary in the Dominican Republic from 2009-2013 with Water Step and Life in Abundance Ministries.
