Linda Michelle Serrato is a Democratic member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing District 45 in Santa Fe County since October 17, 2020. Born in Chino, California, she was appointed to the seat following the resignation of incumbent Jim Trujillo and has been reelected since, including unopposed in the 2024 general election with 10,767 votes. She works as a political and communications consultant in Santa Fe, is married to Matt Ybarra since 2012, and has one child.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Earned a BA from Stanford University.
• Political Experience: Moved to New Mexico for the Barack Obama 2008 presidential campaign as a staffer in Eastern New Mexico; served as press secretary and legislative assistant for Congressman Ben Ray Luján; later worked as deputy communications director for Parent Revolution, a school choice nonprofit in Los Angeles.
