Biography
Lincoln Hough is a Republican state senator representing District 30 in the Missouri Senate, which includes part of Greene County and the city of Springfield. Born on June 17, 1982, he is a first-generation cattle rancher who started his ranch in middle school and has owned and operated it since. Hough began his public service in 2011, serving in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016, then as Greene County Commissioner from 2016 to 2018. He was first elected to the Senate in 2018, re-elected in 2022, and serves as Vice-Chairman of the Appropriations Committee and Chairman of the Governmental Accountability and Fiscal Oversight Committee. Notable achievements include sponsoring the largest tax cut in state history , leading infrastructure investments like highways and power grids, and providing mental health resources for first responders. He received awards such as the Missouri State University Foundation Government Excellence Award, Missouri Soybean Association Soy Supporter Award, and Missouri Pork Producers Association Legislator of the Year. In 2024, he ran unsuccessfully in the Republican primary for lieutenant governor.
