Biography
Representative Lezlye Zupkus
Lezlye Zupkus is a Republican member of the Connecticut House of Representatives representing the 89th General Assembly District, which covers Prospect, Cheshire, Bethany, and Waterbury. A Prospect resident, she has been serving in the legislature since January 2013 and was re-elected to her seventh two-year term in November 2024.
Zupkus has distinguished herself through service to her community and advocacy work. In 2014, she was honored as a "Community Champion" by MADD for her legislative efforts addressing drunken driving-related issues. She currently serves as Deputy Republican Leader At-Large and holds committee positions on Finance, Revenue and Bonding; Public Health; and Special Education. She also serves as the Ranking Member of the Education Committee.
Education
Zupkus is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida.
