ABOUT
Leroy Comrie was born on August 9, 1960 in Queens, New York. He holds a BA degree from New York University and a MS degree from Long Island University. Comrie was first elected to represent New York's 27th Senate District in 2000. He was re-elected in 2004 and 2008 before retiring due to term limits. During his time in the senate, Comrie served as ranking member of the Consumer Protection Committee. He also sat on various other committees including Corporations, Authorities and Commissions; Crime Victims, Crime and Correction; Local Government; and Transportation.read less
