Biography
Leon Michael Lillie, born in June 1961, is a member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party representing District 44B in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2005. He resides in North St. Paul, Minnesota, with his spouse Missy and three children: Taylor, Mikhail, and Krystin. His family owns the Lillie Suburban Newspapers, and he is of Norwegian ancestry. Lillie works as an airline employee and serves as DFL Lead on the Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement, chairs the Legacy Finance Division , and sits on the Capital Investment and Ways and Means committees. He previously represented Districts 55A and 43B . Notable: Elected in 2004 after defeating incumbent Scott Wasiluk in a DFL primary; his brother Ted H. Lillie also served in the Minnesota Legislature.

Education: Attended North High School; studied at University of Nottingham, England; B.A. from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa.
Political Experience: Elected to Minnesota House in 2004 ; reelected every two years; current service in District 44B since 2023.
