Biography
Lena C. Taylor is an American lawyer and judge serving as a Wisconsin circuit court judge in Milwaukee County since January 2024. A former Democratic politician, she represented Wisconsin's 4th Senate District in the state Senate from 2005 to 2024 and the 18th Assembly District from 2003 to 2005. Notable achievements include authoring and passing over 120 pieces of legislation, leading justice reform as chair of key committees, and working as a public defender early in her career. She ran unsuccessfully for Milwaukee County Executive , Mayor of Milwaukee , and was appointed to her judgeship by Governor Tony Evers on January 26, 2024, resigning from the Senate shortly after.
