Biography
Leesa Wynn Hagan is a Republican state representative for Georgia House District 156, which includes all of Toombs, Montgomery, and Wheeler counties, and portions of Tattnall, Telfair, and Ben Hill counties. Born and raised in Georgia , she moved to Lyons in Toombs County in 2009 with her husband Mike—whose family has lived there for six generations—to raise their two sons. She owns a small business consulting firm, is a member of the Greater Vidalia Chamber of Commerce, and is active in Grace Community Presbyterian Church. Hagan previously served as Chairman of the Toombs County Republican Party to amplify rural voices. Elected in a special election on July 13, 2021, she chairs the House Rural Development Committee and serves on Agriculture & Consumer Affairs, Appropriations, Natural Resources & Environment, Industry & Labor, and Transportation. Notable leadership programs include the State Legislative Leaders Foundation at UVA , Republican Leadership for Georgia , GOPAC Emerging Leaders Summit , and White House State Leadership Forum .
