Biography
Representative Lee Reeves
Lee Reeves is a Republican politician born on October 3, 1977, who represents District 65 in the Tennessee House of Representatives. He resides in Franklin, Tennessee, with his wife Claire and their three children. The family is active in their Christian faith community.
Before entering electoral politics, Reeves worked in the real estate industry, initially as an attorney and later as an investor and small business owner. He won his state house seat in 2024 following the announcement by incumbent Sam Whitson that he would not seek re-election. Reeves was sworn into office on January 15, 2025.
In his first term as a state representative, Reeves earned recognition as Tennessee Journal Freshman of the Year and received a Team Kid Hero Award. Following the resignation of U.S. Representative Mark Green from Tennessee's 7th congressional district, Reeves announced his candidacy for the special election to succeed him. However, he suspended his campaign on October 3, 2025, and endorsed Matt Van Epps after President Donald Trump announced his endorsement of Van Epps.
Education
Reeves holds a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from Emory University and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.
