Leanne Harple is a Democratic representative for Orleans-4 in the Vermont House of Representatives, serving since 2025. Born and raised on a Christmas tree farm in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, she lives in Glover with her husband Jeremy and their children. A former selectboard member in Glover and current Justice of the Peace, she is a passionate advocate for rural Vermonters, public education, attainable housing, and sustainable economic opportunities in small communities. She has worked for over a decade as a high school English teacher at Hazen Union School in Hardwick, where she serves as President of the Orleans Southwest Education Association, and contributes as a writer to the Barton Chronicle. Her hobbies include reading, writing, acting, hosting pub trivia, and traveling.
