Biography
Lauren Ventrella is a Republican member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing District 65 in parts of East Baton Rouge Parish. She has served since January 8, 2024, after being elected in 2023, and is eligible to serve through 2032. An attorney and small business owner, she founded her own law firm specializing in injury law, representing accident victims statewide. She volunteers as an attorney for the LA Humane Society and lives on a 14-acre farm in Central, Louisiana, with her husband, Adam Brister—a U.S. Air Force Pararescueman veteran—and their daughter Vivian Rae, along with various farm animals.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: B.A. in Political Science from Louisiana State University ; J.D. and M.P.A. from Southern University Law Center .
- Political Experience: Serves on the House committees for Commerce, Judiciary, and Natural Resources and Environment; also on the House Select Committee on Women and Children. Prior to elected office, she ran her law firm for nine years, licensed in all Louisiana district courts and a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
