Biography
Lauren McNally is a Democratic member of the Ohio House of Representatives, serving Ohio's 58th District since 2023, which includes much of Mahoning County and the city of Youngstown. Originally from Youngstown, she previously represented the 59th District before redistricting and was reelected to the 58th in 2024 with 58% of the vote. A mother of four, she is married to Breen McNally, a staff representative for AFSCME Ohio Council 8; her family has a legacy of public service, including her father-in-law Jerome McNally, a former Youngstown City Councilman.
Notable achievements include securing over $100 million in state funding for her district, serving as Ranking Member of the Commerce & Labor Committee advocating for workers' rights, and introducing legislation in 2025 to abolish Academic Distress Commissions. She also authored a 2026 letter opposing FirstEnergy's request for longer power outages and announced a 2025 run for Mahoning County Commissioner.
