Biography
Lataisha M. Jackson is a Democratic member of the Mississippi State House of Representatives, representing District 11 since 2013. Born on August 4, 1983, in Fort Ord, California, she resides in Como, Mississippi, and is a Baptist. She serves as a member of the Appropriations Committee, Vice Chair of the Investigate State Offices Committee, and holds positions on the Judiciary B Committee, Judiciary En Banc Committee, Local and Private Legislation Committee, and Public Property Committee. Previously, she was involved in committees such as Agriculture, Energy, and Performance Based Budgeting. As CEO/President of E.D.U.C.A.T.E. Incorporated since 2009, she prioritizes economic development, education advancement, small business opportunities, industry recruitment, and expanded after-school programs. She is also Vice President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and a member of Askew Grove Baptist Church, with interests in lecturing, motivational speaking, project management, traveling, fine dining, and cultural activities.
