Biography

Larry R. Scott, born on March 24, 1952, in Hobbs, New Mexico, is an American businessman, engineer, and politician. He has been serving as a Republican member of the New Mexico Legislature since 2015. Scott represented the 62nd district in the New Mexico House of Representatives from 2015 to 2024. In 2024, he was elected to the New Mexico State Senate, representing District 42, and assumed office on January 1, 2025.
