Biography
Larry G. Liston is a Republican state senator representing Senate District 10 in Colorado, based in Colorado Springs and encompassing El Paso County. A long-time resident of the district for over 50 years, he retired in 2008 after 33 years as an investment executive and vice-president for the Royal Bank of Canada. Married to Mary Ann for over 40 years, he is father to Katie and grandfather to Carter. Liston is a Ronald Reagan conservative advocating limited government, strong national defense, support for law enforcement, free-market businesses, and protection of TABOR . He is active in the Downtown Colorado Springs Rotary Club, First Presbyterian Church, Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition , and is a lifetime NRA member. Notable achievements include sponsoring a 2025 bill adding nuclear energy to Colorado’s “clean energy resources” definition and receiving awards such as Outstanding Legislator from the American Conservative Union and United Veterans Commission of Colorado , Legislator of the Year from Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce , and multiple "Friend of the Taxpayer" awards from Colorado Civil Justice League.
