Biography
Larry D. Lambert Jr. is a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives, representing District 7 . A lifelong resident and community leader, he assumed office on November 4, 2020, after defeating incumbent Ray Seigfried in the Democratic primary with 59% of the vote and winning the general election with 67%. He secured re-election in 2022 and 2024 against Republican Shane Stoneman. Part of the progressive wing, Lambert advocates for universal healthcare, a $15 minimum wage, police reform, and marijuana legalization. His community service has been recognized by Senator Joe Biden before Congress, on the Oprah Winfrey show, and in News Journal features.
Education and Political Experience
Education: B.A. in Communications, Cum Laude, Temple University. Attended Maple Lane Elementary and Brandywine High School.
Professional Background: Art teacher for 8 years at Claymont Boys & Girls Club and substitute at Brandywine High School; 9 years in corporate banking; current Workforce Development Program Director. Built bridges between corporate and nonprofit sectors for district resources like road repairs, jobs, murals, and COVID-19 testing.
