Larry Kump

Larry Douglas Kump was a Republican politician who represented the 94th district of Berkeley County in the West Virginia House of Delegates. He was born on January 27, 1948, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Throughout his political career, Kump became known as a dedicated public servant, having worked as a retired public administrator before and during his legislative tenure.

Education

Kump earned an associate degree from Hagerstown Community College before furthering his education at Frostburg State University, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in political science.

Political Experience

Kump had a lengthy career in the West Virginia House of Delegates spanning multiple terms:

• First served from 2010 to 2014
• Returned to serve from 2018 to 2020
• Elected for a third term in 2022, representing the 94th district until his death in 2026

His constituents in the Falling Waters area of Berkeley County knew him throughout his various terms of service. The West Virginia House of Delegates unanimously approved House Resolution 20 to honor his life and public service following his passing.
