Lawrence R. "Larry" Klemin is a Republican representative for District 47 in the North Dakota House of Representatives. Born on March 31, 1945, he has served since 1998 and previously held the position of Speaker of the House. A Vietnam veteran with the 101st Airborne Division in the U.S. Army, he practices law at Schweigert, Klemin & McBride, PC, specializing in areas such as products liability, insurance defense, environmental law, and real estate. Notable achievements include his long tenure, bar admissions to the U.S. Supreme Court and other federal courts, and publications in the North Dakota Law Review. He announced his retirement at the end of his current term.
