Larry Byrd is a Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 104 since January 8, 2008. He resides in Petal, Mississippi, with his wife, Karen Devereaux, and is a Southern Baptist. A U.S. Army veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division and life member of V.F.W. Post 3036, Byrd is active in the Petal Chamber of Commerce, Petal Masonic Lodge No. 516, Hattiesburg York Rite, K.Y.C.H., and holds the Scottish Rite Knight Commander Court of Honor and Knights of the York Cross of Honor.

Notable achievements include serving as Chair of the County Affairs Committee and membership on committees such as Agriculture, Education, Energy, Management, Transportation, and Ways and Means.
