Lawrence A. "Larry" Bagley Jr. was born on January 4, 1949, and serves as a Republican State Representative from District 7 in Louisiana. He represents the parishes of Caddo, De Soto, and Sabine. By profession, Bagley is the owner of an Allstate Insurance Agency.

Education

Bagley holds multiple degrees including a Bachelor of Arts from Baptist Christian College, a Master's Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, and completed additional graduate coursework at Northwestern State University.

Political Experience

Bagley was first elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2015. He serves on several committees and caucuses, including the Agriculture, Forestry, Aquaculture, and Rural Development Committee; the Appropriations Committee; the Insurance Committee; and the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget. He is also active in the Central Louisiana Delegation Caucus, Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation, Louisiana Rural Caucus, and North Louisiana Legislative Delegation.

Among his legislative efforts, Bagley has worked on fiscal control measures, including sponsoring the Transparent Responsible Use of State Tax-dollars Act, which establishes requirements for nongovernmental entities receiving state funding.
