Representative Landon Brown

Landon Brown is a Republican member of the Wyoming House of Representatives representing District 9, a position he has held since January 10, 2017. Born February 26, 1987, Brown is a native of Cheyenne, Wyoming, where he has lived for over 25 years. He attended Cheyenne East High School and later pursued higher education at Laramie County Community College and the University of Wyoming, where he earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration. Brown is married to Rachel, whom he wed on December 1, 2021.

Education and Early Career

Brown's professional background includes roles in both the private and public sectors. He began his career with Verizon Wireless, where he served as a store manager and was among the youngest to achieve that position nationally. After moving back to Wyoming in 2012, he attended the University of Wyoming while working for the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, where he held the positions of Pollution Prevention Program Coordinator and Small Business Environmental Assistance Program Coordinator. He left this role in 2019 to join the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation as the Director of Annual Grants and Giving.

Political Experience

Prior to his election to the state legislature, Brown served the Cheyenne community in several civic capacities, including as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Cheyenne, Treasurer for the Board of Directors of Black Dog Animal Rescue, and as a Science Fair judge for Laramie County School District #1. Since entering the legislature, he has served on the Joint Education Committee and the Joint Transportation, Highways, and Military Affairs Committee. In the 2020 election cycle, Brown ran unopposed in both the Republican primary and general election, securing 1,390 and 3,798 votes respectively.
