Biography
Lana Theis is a Republican state senator representing Michigan's 22nd Senate District, which includes all of Livingston County and parts of Genesee, Ingham, Oakland, and Shiawassee counties. Born on June 23, 1965, in Sturgis, she resides in Brighton, is married to Samuel Theis, and has two children, Jacob and Gabrielle. Notable achievements include serving as assistant president pro tempore, chair of the Insurance and Banking and Education and Career Readiness committees, and vice-chair of the Oversight and Regulatory Reform committees during her Senate tenure; she has served 11 years in the legislature and previously held leadership roles in local government and party organizations.
