Kristine Howard

Kristine Howard was born on June 7, 1961, and is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives representing the 167th legislative district. She resides in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and is a devoted single mother of seven children, three of whom attend public schools, and has two grandchildren.

Howard's family background emphasizes public service. Her father worked as a probation officer, and her mother served as an administrator at Penn Medical School, both of whom inspired her to pursue a life of civic duty.

Political Experience

Howard was first elected to the Pennsylvania House on November 6, 2018. Her legislative district includes parts of Charlestown, East Whiteland, Easttown, West Pikeland, West Whiteland, Willistown Township, and Malvern Borough.

She currently sits on four committees in the Pennsylvania House: Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Children & Youth, Judiciary, and State Government. She also serves on the House Committee on Health.

Howard has established herself as an advocate for environmental protection and education. She has been recognized as one of the highest-rated Pennsylvania State Representatives by Clean Water Action, PennEnvironment, Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future, and has won the endorsement of Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania.

Before her legislative career, Howard worked at the Chester County Department of Children, Youth, and Family Services, where she investigated child abuse cases.
