Biography

Kristin Nelson is a Republican politician serving as the state representative for Alabama House District 38, which covers portions of Chambers and Lee counties. She won the seat in a special general election on February 3, 2026, defeating Democrat Hazel Floyd with 83.65% of the vote after securing the Republican nomination in a runoff against Garrett Dixon. Notable positions include chair of the Chambers County Republican Party, founder of the Chambers County Young Republicans, worship leader at Fairfax Methodist Church, secretary of the Junior Variety Club, and president of the EAMC Lanier Auxiliary Board; she also received the endorsement of the Alabama Farmers Federation.
