Kristin E. Kassner is a Democratic representative for the 2nd Essex District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, which includes the towns of Ipswich, Hamilton, Rowley, Newbury, Georgetown, and Topsfield Precinct 1. She resides in Hamilton with her husband and son. A planning professional with over 20 years of local government experience, she focuses on improving quality of life and environmental conditions in the Commonwealth. Notable achievements include winning her seat in 2022 by one vote after a recount and legal challenges against incumbent Lenny Mirra, leading to her swearing-in by Governor Maura Healey on February 3, 2023.
