Biography

Kimberly Williams is a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives, representing District 19 since her election in 2012 and swearing-in in January 2013. A lifelong New Castle County resident, she is a full-time legislator, former real estate agent with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, and previously worked 12 years for a union electrical contractor, advancing from receptionist to office manager. She resigned to raise her two children, during which she volunteered extensively in schools as PTA president , PTO vice president at Conrad Schools of Science, and member of Conrad’s Building Leadership Committee for five years. Notable achievements include sponsoring H.B. 337, making Delaware the first state to fully ban child marriage under age 18; reopening the Delaware SPCA in 2016 after its announced closure; and leading bipartisan efforts like limiting cell phones in schools. She currently chairs the House Appropriations, Joint Finance, and Education Committees, and serves as vice-chair of the Labor Committee.
