Biography
Kevin Leese Mannix is a Republican member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 21 . A practicing attorney who founded the Mannix Law Firm in Salem in 1986, he has served five nonconsecutive terms in the House since 1988, initially as a Democrat until 1996, then switching to Republican. Notable achievements include authoring Measure 11 , establishing mandatory minimum sentences for violent crimes; leading bipartisan legislation on public safety, victims' rights, and court modernization; and championing ballot initiatives like IP-51 to repeal Oregon's "death tax." He ran unsuccessfully for Attorney General , Governor , and Congress , and chaired the Oregon Republican Party . Married to Susanna for over 51 years with three children and five grandchildren, he co-founded Blanchet Catholic School in 1995 and served as its board chair until 2018.

- Education: Demonstrated early leadership at Wakefield High School as Student Council Vice-President and President, reinstating integrated student activities post-desegregation.
