Kevin L. Matthews was born in Maryland and went on to attend George Mason University. He has been active in politics for many years, working on numerous political campaigns since the 1980s. Matthews has served on the advisory neighborhood commission and worked as an advocate for seniors and the disabled community. He ran unsuccessfully for the Ward 4 seat on the Council of the District of Columbia in 2006.read less
