Biography

Kevin D. Chambliss is a Democratic member of the Florida House of Representatives representing District 117 . Born on June 8, 1981, in Columbus, Mississippi, he moved to Florida in 2010 and resides in Homestead with his spouse, Leah Chambliss, and their children: Montrell Johnson, Adam Chambliss, Mia Johnson, Kevin Chambliss Jr., and Kayla Chambliss. A Christian, he works as a government aide and is affiliated with organizations including the NAACP, South East Dade Ministerial Alliance, Miami-Dade County Democratic Executive Committee, South Dade NAACP, Florida Conference of Black State Legislators, National Conference of Black State Legislators, and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
