Biography
Keri Heintzeman is a Republican state senator representing District 6 in the Minnesota Senate, covering Cass, Crow Wing, and Itasca counties. Elected in a special election in 2025, she is serving her first term and resides in Nisswa, where she has lived since 1994. Born in International Falls, she later lived in Bemidji and Brainerd; her father worked at a paper mill. She owns and operates a family business with her husband, Josh Heintzeman , focusing on excavation, tree service, heavy equipment, and vacation rentals. They have homeschooled their six children, aged 9 to 23. Heintzeman is active in Heritage Assembly Church in Baxter, serves as an auxiliary member of the Gideons, and is a member of the local Lions Club. Her legislative priorities include defending life, protecting the Second Amendment, reducing taxes and regulations, and supporting parental rights. She serves on the Commerce and Consumer Protection and Higher Education committees. Prior to her election, she worked as a Republican political organizer and district director for the Trump 2024 campaign.
