Biography
Kenny Yuko is a Democrat who represented Ohio's 25th Senate District, encompassing parts of Cuyahoga and Lake Counties, including portions of Cleveland and Euclid. A former union organizer with Laborers’ Local #860 for 30 years, he focused on protecting working families, promoting health care access, and improving Ohio’s economy. Notable achievements include co-sponsoring Ohio Senate Bill 23 in 2019 and receiving awards such as Legislator of the Year from NAMI, LEAP, and the Ohio Ambulance & Medical Transportation Association. He resides in Richmond Heights with his wife Pam and has two children, Rocky and Angela.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Brush High School ; attended Cuyahoga Community College and Kent State University.
- Early Career: Clothing buyer at Polsky’s Department Store, then 25 years as a union organizer, earning the 2000 Organizing Award.
