Biography

Kenan Judge is a Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 27 since 2019. Born around 1957 in Ottumwa, Iowa, and raised in Georgetown in Monroe County, he resides in Waukee with his wife Kathi, to whom he has been married for over 40 years; they have four daughters. A retired executive from Hy-Vee, where he worked for 38 years and rose to Group Vice President of Meat, Seafood, and Deli, Judge is noted for his moderate views, leadership, and community involvement, including volunteering with Waukee Area Christian Services, Iowa Homeless Youth Centers, and serving on gala committees for WayPoint Resources and Waukee Area Christian Services. He is a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Judge first won election in 2018 for District 44, defeating Republican Anna Bergman and Libertarian Gabriel Thomson, and has been reelected since, including in 2020 against Republican Dave Lorenzen and independent David Stock; he currently serves his second term.
