Biography
Ken Morgan is a Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 100 since his first election in 2007. Born on September 10, 1951, in Columbia, Mississippi, he resides in Morgantown, Mississippi. He is married to Wanda Morgan and has two children, Krystal and Krae. A Baptist, Morgan owns and operates Ken's Welding Shop, Incorporated, since 1986. Notable positions include Chair of the Forestry Committee, and membership on the Agriculture, Conservation and Water Resources, Public Property, and Ways and Means Committees. He is also involved in community service as Chief of the Morgantown Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Mississippi Legislative Conservative Coalition, the National Rifle Association, and the National Wild Turkey Federation, among others.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Associate's degree from Pearl River Community College ; attended Mississippi Law Enforcement Academy.
- Political Experience: Elected to Mississippi House of Representatives, District 100 ; candidate for re-election in 2023. Former Representative for Pearl River Basin Development District; former President of Pearl River Land and Conservation Association. Member of Marion/Jefferson Davis County Pearl River Community College Alumni Board; Member, Saint Alban's Lodge #60.
